His father, Daedalus, tried his wings first, but before trying to escape the island, he warned Icarus not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea, but to follow his path of flight.
He ignored his father’s instructions and soared into the sky but when the wax in his wings melted he tumbled out of the sky and fell into the sea where he drowned.
How many times in my life I behaved like Icarus…! I was very stubborn, too much ambitious and I didn’t want to listen anybody’s (especially my parents, who are almost right).
Maybe due to my young age, in the past I practically stumbled on it lots of times.
Well… I learned that is wrong and dangerous to force events or pretend too much from a situation.
Character doesn’t just mean going your own way.
All in good time, they say.
Sometimes, relationships burn and explode like supernova.
But flying too low is even more dangerous than flying too high, because it feels deceptively safe.
Greek mythology inspires me a lot.
I made this drawing with: pencil, ink, digital color and Instagram filtrer.
